What We Do

We are Tailored Fox Farm, a small, family-owned business established in 2017. We grow gourmet, hardneck garlic in Northwest Iowa, and are committed to providing the best quality garlic for customers looking for seed or culinary garlic. Whether it's for the professional chef or home cook, our quality garlic will elevate the flavors of any dish. And if you want to grow it yourself, we've got you covered!
How We Do It
Everything we do is done with our families. We make raised beds, plant, weed, fertilize, harvest, hang and cure the garlic by hand, and then we package it up and send you some of the best tasting garlic you've ever had! We operate using organic practices, including growing cover crops, utilizing organic fertilizer, and maintaining buffer strips and no-spray areas between our beds and our neighboring agriculture fields.
Why We Do It
Because it's fun! Both of our families love the outdoors and hard work. We wanted to create an environment where our children could care for a product, raise it from start to finish, and gain valuable skills through marketing and sales. Plus, garlic is a super food and it's easy to grow! Our farm is hard work, but it gives us hours outside with our kids, working, laughing, and learning life lessons that will serve them well in adulthood.

We are Tailored Fox Farm, a small, family-owned business established in 2017. We grow gourmet, hardneck garlic in northwest Iowa, and are committed to providing the best quality garlic in our area. Our two families work hard each year to provide top quality, locally grown culinary and seed garlic.

What we grow: We have 14 varieties that range from fiery hot to relatively mild, those that are excellent roasted, some that are best when used in and with other food, and still others that are delicious raw. We have some with large, easily peeled cloves, and others that will keep up to 8 months. Our garlic grows really well in this climate, and it’s a great addition to your cooking needs.

We serve local restaurants, gardeners, and other folks looking for quality garlic to grow or consume. From large scale orders to 1/2 pound requests, we can meet your garlic needs.

Where we grow: Tailored Fox Farm is located in northwest Iowa, outside the town of Orange City. We have cold and snowy winters, and mild summers, which is ideal for growing gourmet hardneck garlic. It also makes harvesting in July a little easier!
